Which accessories must be replaced when switching to cutting different materials?

Release Date:2025-04-11 09:50:39 Number of views:583

Accessory replacement depends on material properties and process requirements:

Nozzle selection:

Metal cutting: Use a single-layer copper nozzle (aperture 1.0-1.5mm) to maintain airflow stability under high pressure.

Non-metal cutting: Use a double-layer air-assisted nozzle (aperture 2.0-3.0mm) to enhance the smoke exhaust effect.

Gas system adaptation:

Cutting stainless steel/titanium alloy requires switching to high-purity nitrogen (99.999%), and equipping a booster pump to maintain a pressure of 15MPa.

Wood/leather cutting can use low-cost compressed air (an oil-water separator needs to be installed).

Anti-reflection device:

When cutting highly reflective materials such as copper and aluminum, an anti-reflection module (such as a beam deflector) must be installed to prevent the return light from damaging the laser.

Operation specification: After replacing accessories, the focus needs to be recalibrated (such as the nozzle height error needs to be ≤±0.05mm), and the effect should be verified by trial cutting.

Q10: What key tasks should be included in the daily maintenance of the laser cutting machine?

A:

Systematic maintenance can greatly extend the life of the equipment:

Daily tasks:

Clean the metal chips/slag on the workbench and dust box to prevent accumulation from affecting positioning accuracy.

Check the tightness of the air path joint (apply soapy water to detect air leakage) and ensure that the pressure gauge reading is stable.

Weekly tasks:

Disassemble the laser head to clean the internal lenses (focusing lens, protective lens), and use a micrometer to measure the lens thickness wear (replace if it exceeds 0.1mm).

Add high-speed grease (ISO VG32 standard) to the guide rails and lead screws, and remove the old grease to avoid mixed contamination.

Monthly tasks:

Calibrate the coaxiality of the optical path: Use the red light indicator to adjust the reflector so that the deviation of the light spot in the center of the nozzle is less than 0.1mm.

Test the laser output energy: Use a power meter to detect the actual power. If the attenuation exceeds 10%, contact the manufacturer for maintenance.

Long-term maintenance: Replace the laser coolant every 2000 hours and clean the internal optical components of the laser every year (professional operation is required).
