How to systematically solve the problem of burrs or roughness on the cutting edge?

Release Date:2025-04-11 09:50:47 Number of views:907

The burr problem needs to be analyzed from three aspects: materials, equipment and process:

Burrs of metal materials:

Insufficient gas purity: Nitrogen purity must be ≥99.9%, otherwise the oxidation reaction residue will adhere to the edge. It is recommended to install a gas purification device.

Too low gas pressure: For example, cutting 6mm carbon steel requires 1.2MPa oxygen pressure. If the gas pressure is insufficient, slag will splash back.

Nozzle wear: After long-term use, the nozzle aperture is deformed (standard aperture 1.5mm), and it needs to be checked and replaced every month.

Burrs of non-metallic materials:

Speed and power do not match: Acrylic cutting requires low speed (0.8m/min) with medium power (80W) to avoid carbonization of the material due to excessive speed.

Lens contamination: Clean the reflector and focusing mirror weekly. Fingerprints or dust will scatter laser energy.

General solution: Regularly calibrate the optical path to ensure that the beam concentricity error is less than 0.05mm, which can significantly improve the incision quality.
